The initial idea for Batley Pride came from Locala CIC in 2017 and they are still heavily involved with the event but since the first year it has grown to encompass nearly every aspect of Batley life. We are proud to now be working with the Friends of Wilton Park, Locala, More in Common and Kirklees libraries as official partners.
There is also a monthly LGBT+ social group which meets in Batley Library where people can meet in a safe, non-scene environment to just chat and gossip, no matter how they identify.
